When you submit a file to Padawan for scanning, you can choose between making a public report or one private to your account only. In the first case, the generated report will be accessible from a publicly accessible URL. In the latter case, the generated report will only be accessible from your account.
In both cases, Padawan (Software and System Security group at Eurecom) reserves the right to use the submitted files and the submission metadata for research and statistical purposes.
We may also share this information with research collaborators from institutions different from Eurecom, always for research or statistical purposes, with the goal of improving or helping the research community or the AntiVirus / security industry.
We may share aggregated, anonymised information publicly and with our collaborators – like research institutions, the Anti Virus and security industry. For example, we may share information publicly to show statistical trends about the general use of our services.
